Aurender’s Network Player, A10 uses AKM’s Premium D/A Converter the AK4490

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation's (AKM) premium audio DAC: the AK4490 has been adopted in Aurender Inc.’s (Aurender) new network player, the A10 released in September 2016.

The A10 network player is equipped with analog signal outputs. Its internal HDD provides 4TB of sound source storage and one 120GB SSD is used to cache music for playbacks. The D/A converter block employs a dual monaural design equipped with discrete linear regulators. It also integrates two of AKM’s DACs: the AK4490, supporting 384kHz/32-bit of PCM and 5.6MHz of DSD signals playbacks.

120dB 768kHz/32-bit 2ch Next Generation Premium D/A Converter

AK4490EQ The AK4490EQ is a new generation 32-bit stereo Premium DAC. It is a Hi-end product of AKM’s VERITA series in the Audio 4 Pro family. The AK4490EQ adopts a newly developed VELVET SOUND technology achieving high-resolution sound playback that realizes a rich sound field and bass representation with less distortion. Digital input supports PCM input up to 768kHz and DSD input of 2.8MHz/5.6MHz / maximum 11.2MHz, the industry's highest level. Internal circuit employs a newly developed 32-bit digital filter focusing on sound quality during development.
This device is ideal for systems such as Network Audio Players focusing sound quality, SACD players and high-end audio systems supporting high resolution sound source.
