Description
Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) releases the AK4136VQ, a next generation premium sampling rate converter (SRC). The AK4136VQ is a new premium 32-bit SRC, based on AKM’s VELVET SOUND architecture that has been widely adopted by well-established high-end audio companies.
The AK4136VQ achieves higher performance and better sound quality than a similar conventional product, enabling high-quality playback from high-resolution sound sources in car audio application. This technology realizes fine sound details with its ultra-low-distortion architecture in addition to 32-bit resolution digital filter processing. The digital input supports up to 384kHz format conversion.
● Dynamic sound playback with large amount of playback information
- AKMs VELVET SOUND architecture is utilized.
- Low-distortion technology achieves industry’s best performance of -140dB as an SRC with 176dB D/R (A-weighted) characteristic.
- IRD (Impulse Response Designed) filters are integrated with 32-bit processing to reproduces detailed natural sound.
- Four different digital filters types are selectable according to the user audio and system preferences.
● Supporting High Resolution Data
- The digital input supports up to 384kHz PCM, recreating high-resolution sound that is as close as possible to the original acoustic source.
- It is suitable for high-resolution sound source playback that is becoming popular with Network Audio and USB DACs.
● Sampling Rate Conversion
- The AK4136 supports a PCM to PCM format sampling rate conversion.
