Bourns Releases New PortNote® Solution and Design Kit Protection for G.Fast - Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)

Riverside, California - June 14, 2016 - Bourns is pleased to announce the release of the G.Fast CPE Protection PortNote® Solution to correspond with the Model PN-DESIGNKIT-59 Design Kit. PN-DESIGNKIT-59 contains samples of the two Bourns® components that are integral parts of the solution.The new G.Fast standard uses frequencies as high as 106 MHz to provide data rates up to 1 Gbps simultaneously in both the upstream and downstream directions. This solution protects these ports against lightning surge, power induction and AC power contact threats.
