Bourns Releases New Indoor Micro UPS Model MP1218 Series

2016-01-22 | Return

Bourns is pleased to announce the release of the Model MX1236-L2 Indoor MicroFlex Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The Model MX1236-L2 is designed primarily for use as a DC power supply and battery back-up device for 12 Vdc powered Optical Network Terminals (ONTs). However, the device can also be used in any 12 Vdc application where DC power and battery back-up is required. The MicroFlex UPS provides a constant supply of DC power and additionally provides battery back-up power in case of an electrical power outage.

The Bourns® Model MX1236-L2 design is unique in that the DC supply and Lithium-Ion battery pack are designed to be stackable creating a low profile UPS. The device is capable of accepting up to three battery packs (MX36-L2) for additional back-up capacity. The MX1236-L2 also has built-in overvoltage protection and EMI/RFI filtering for added protection.

The Model MX1236-L2 can accept 50 / 60 Hz AC power inputs from 100 to 240 Vac. The DC power supply provides a nominal DC output of 12 V / 3.0 A (36 watts). During a power failure, the replaceable long life Lithium-Ion battery pack is capable of providing roughly 8 to 10 hours of back-up capacity at 8 watts.

• MX1236-L2-C7 includes a power supply, UPS battery and relays for Vdc and telemetry output.
• MX1236-P-C7 includes a power supply and relays for Vdc and telemetry output.

The UL Listed Bourns® Model MX1236 Series provides the small size and flexibility needed to support today’s ONTs, Optical Network Units (ONUs), Fiber to the Home (FTTH), security systems, and more.
