Surface-Mount 75Ω Balanced-to-Balanced Transformer Supports DOCSIS® 3.1 Requirements

8 January 2016 – Mini-Circuits’ TRS2-1T-75+ is a surface mount 75Ω transformer with a 2:1 secondary/primary impedance ratio and a frequency range from 5 to 1200 MHz, supporting bandwidth requirements for DOCSIS 3.1 compliant systems and equipment. This model features a balanced-to-balanced configuration with a center tap on both the primary and secondary windings. It provides 1.0 dB insertion loss, 20 dB return loss, 0.3 dB amplitude unbalance, 9˚ phase unbalance. It can handle up to 0.25W RF input power and is capable of passing up to 30mA DC current from input to output. Measuring only 0.28 x 0.25 x 0.12”, the transformer features core-and-wire all welded construction with gold over nickel plate wraparound terminations, suitable for both tin/lead and RoHS solder systems. The unit features Mini-Circuits Top Hat® feature for faster, more accurate pick-and-place assembly.
