Mini-Circuits Expands Selection of MMIC Amplifier Dice with Six New Models

2016-01-06 | Return

6 January 2016 – Mini-Circuits continues to grow our selection of MMIC amplifier dice with the addition of 6 new models to our lineup.  We’re offering these popular amplifiers in unpackaged die form to allow integration directly into customer hybrids with minimal space requirements.  Each amplifier die model may be ordered from stock in gel-paks (-DG+ model number suffix) of 10, 50, or 100 KGD, as well as in partial wafers (<5000 KGD, -DP+ model number suffix), and full wafers (-DF+ model number suffix) by request from authorized Mini-Circuits sales representatives.

  • The PMA3-83LN-D+ is a wideband, low noise MMIC amplifier die offering an industry leading combination of 1.2 dB noise figure and +37 dBm IP3, matched over the entire 0.5 to 8 GHz frequency range.  And it’s very easy to use: all you need is a simple fixed inductor at the input and output to match impedance over the entire frequency band!  It provides 21 dB gain, ±0.9 dB gain flatness (over 0.5 to 7 GHz @ 6V), and +20.7 dBm P1dB.  It operates on a single +5V or +6V supply with 77mA typical current consumption at 6V.  This model is ideal for sensitive, high-dynamic-range receivers, instrumentation, defense systems, LTE, WiFi, S-Band and C-Band radar, SatCom and more.  The PMA3-83LN-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $25.95 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).

  • Model PMA2-33LN-D+ is an ultra-low noise, high IP3 MMIC amplifier die with an operating frequency range from 0.4 to 3.0 GHz.  This model operates on a single +3V supply and achieves exceptional noise figure performance of just 0.47 dB and +38.5 dBm IP3, making it ideal for sensitive, high-dynamic-range receiver applications.  It provides 14 dB typical gain, +17.6 dBm P1dB, and is well matched for 50Ω systems.  The amplifier provides high RF input power handling (+27 dBm 5 minutes; +14 to +22 dBm continuous), supporting power levels common at receiver inputs and eliminating the need for an external limiter in most cases.  The PMA2-33LN-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $16.95 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).

  • Model PMA2-43LN-D+ is an ultra-low noise, high IP3 MMIC amplifier die with an operating frequency range from 1.1 to 4.0 GHz.  This model operates on a single +5V supply and achieves outstanding noise figure performance of just 0.5 dB and +33 dBm IP3, making it ideal for sensitive, high-dynamic range receiver applications.  It provides 19 dB typical gain, +20.4 P1dB, and is well matched for 50Ω systems.  The amplifier provides high RF input power handling (+22 dBm 5 minutes; +14 dBm continuous), supporting power levels common at receiver inputs and eliminating the need for an external limiter in most cases.  The PMA3-43LN-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $16.95 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).

  • Model AVA-24A-D+ is an ultra-wideband MMIC amplifier die covering applications from 5 to 22 GHz with integrated matching, DC blocks and bias circuits.  It delivers 13.1 dB gain with ±1.6 dB flatness over its entire frequency range, +19.4 dBm P1dB, and 25 dB typical IP3.  This model provides 37 dB reverse isolation, making it an excellent choice for buffering broadband circuits and for use as an LO driver amplifier.  It operates on a single +5V supply with 126mA typical current consumption.  The AVA-24A-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $34.95 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).

  • Model PGA-105-D+ is an advanced MMIC amplifier die providing ultra-flat gain, low noise, and high dynamic range for applications from 0.04 to 2.6 GHz.  This model delivers 15 dB gain with ±0.2 dB flatness (over 0.1 to 2.0 GHz), +18.4 dBm P1dB, +37 dBm IP3, and 1.8 dB noise figure.  It achieves 23 dB input/output return loss without the need for any external matching components, making it very easy to use.  The amplifier operates on a single +5V supply with 65mA typical current consumption.  The PGA-105-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $22.65 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).

  • Model TSS-53LNB-D+ is a low noise bypass MMIC amplifier die offering industry leading performance over its full frequency range from 0.5 to 6 GHz.  It contains an internal switchable bypass circuit to bypass the LNA in the presence of high power signals, protecting the amplifier and extending the usable dynamic range.  This model provides 21.4 dB gain with ±0.4 dB flatness (from 0.7 to 2.1 GHz), +21 dBm P1dB, +48 dBm IP3 in bypass mode and 1.3 dB noise figure.  It has good input and output return loss (15 dB typ.) over its full frequency range with minimal external matching components required, simplifying circuit designs and enabling use over multiple bands in a single application circuit.  The TSS-53LNB-D+ is available off the shelf starting at $18.95 each (10 KGD gel-pak price).
