Designed to absorb broad end-to-endmating tolerances, handle upto 20A of continuous current, and exhibit robustresistance to extreme shock,vibration, and temperatures, the new 70-9159Series linking board-to-board (BTB) contact system consists of twolow-profile, single-position, andhigh-spring-force surface-mount C-clipcontacts and a linking bridge contact.The system’s SMT C-clip contacts are madeof made of fatigue-resistant phosphorbronze, have multiple spring-fingercontact points that maintain high matingforces and ensure uninterruptedconnections, and are only 2mm tall, allowingthem to be placed close to LEDswithout interference. Integral dimples on thebridge contact provide positiveretention in the C-clip contacts to prevent itfrom backing out, and a centeredtang prevents it from moving side to side.
